Jazz legends Wynton MarsalisHerbie HancockWayne ShorterEsperanza Spalding, and Corinne Bailey Rae took the stage at New York City’s Jazz at Lincoln Center to help the David Lynch Foundation raise funds to help bring the stress-reducing Transcendental Meditation technique to police officers and first-responders suffering from post-traumatic stress, families that have experienced domestic violence, and children on the autistic spectrum disorders.

We know about the Buddha’s life chiefly through legends, written down several centuries after he lived. Born Siddhartha Gautama in present-day Nepal, he was a prince who lived an opulent life, shielded by his father, King Suddhodana, from the world’s travails.
